My 4 Favourite Christmas Day Recipes

Can you believe Christmas is this Sunday!

If you haven't yet worked out what you're having on Christmas Day I have a few recipes to share with you that I think you'll love.

Before we dive in though, I just wanted to let you know that my Nutrition Clinic is closed as of tomorrow and I'll be re-opening in the new year on Friday, 5 January 2023.

If you would like to book a face-to-face or video appointment in the new year you can do so at: https://www.louiseellennutrition.com.au/nutrition-services

So... let's take a look at recipes for Christmas Day! Often Christmas Day can be a time of chaos with trying to get everything organised, so having recipes that are simple to follow, easy to make and taste great are key. Below are my favourite Christmas recipes that are also family friendly and are a great additional to the Christmas table.

1. Spiced Soaked Oats

This spice soaked oats recipe is a great way to kick start your morning. Simply soak the oats overnight and wallah you have breakfast ready to go the next day. This recipe contains Christmas spices including cinnamon and nutmeg and is super nourishing. To check out the recipe visit: https://www.louiseellennutrition.com.au/breakfast-recipes

2. Chocolate Protein Balls

These chocolate protein balls are similar to rum balls but are alcohol free and much healthier! They are great to keep on the Christmas table as a pre-lunch snack or can be bagged up and given as gifts. To view the recipe visit: https://www.louiseellennutrition.com.au/snack-recipes

3. Quinoa Summer Salad

This festive and refreshing salad goes well with Ham, Turkey and Chicken. It's gluten free, tasty, nutritious and contains cranberries and orange pieces giving it a Christmas twist! It keeps up to 4 days in the fridge so you have plenty of time to finish it on Christmas night and Boxing day. To view the recipe visit: https://www.louiseellennutrition.com.au/lunch-recipes

4. Colourful Mixed Leaf Salad

This is another festive and refreshing salad that goes well with Ham, Turkey and Chicken. It's also gluten free, tasty, nutritious and has shredded beetroot giving it a lovely redish Christmas colouring. To view the recipe visit: https://www.louiseellennutrition.com.au/lunch-recipes

I hope you enjoy these recipes and that you have a wonderful Christmas Day! I'll see you again in the new year :)
