Planning your meals each week can be a dreaded task or one that saves you time and gives you peace of mind.
When you’re busy working a full time job, having a social life plus running a household the the last thing you want to think about is what are you going to have for dinner tonight?
Working out what to each for dinner at the last minute can often result in eating the same things week after week, opting for take away or making something not so healthy.
However, when you plan out your dinners in advance and do a food shop (so you have the ingredients ready to go) it can save you time, money and give you that peace of mind that working out what to have for dinner is taken care of.
This is why today I wanted to share with you a meal planning hack that will make meal planning that much quicker!
This hack is having a go to list of different dinner ideas that you can refer to time and time again when you do your weekly meal planning.
Creating the list can take about 30min to an hour, but once you have it you’ll refer to it time and time again and can add to it as new recipes come up.
I keep my list on the fridge so when I go to do the weekly meal planning I can easily see what we're going to make for dinner this week.
Start by writing down a list of current go to recipes on a piece of paper, then look up recipes online and flick through your cookbooks.
Ideally you want to have at least 15 different dinner ideas so you have a good variety to choose from. You can continue to add to this list as you go along, but having 15 is a great start.
Give this a go this week!
...and if you want to save even more time why not check out one of my meal planning kits that has everything planned out for you weeks in advance or the healthy recipe bundle which provides over 140 easy to make & tasty recipes?
