Do you spend some time on the weekends setting yourself up for success for the week ahead or do you get to Monday and just wing it?
Winging it often makes your week harder as you've got to work out what to eat each day and remember to do those little habits that will keep you on track with your health goals.
This approach often leads to set backs and moving away from your health goals which can lead to another year of not being where you want to be with your weight, eating habits or energy levels.
But what if you were better organised during the week and didn't have to think about what to eat each day, what habits to continue with and were able to easily minimise setbacks from occurring?
This is why today I wanted to share with you my top weekend planning tips to set your week up for success.
These 3 tips will save you time, set your week up for success and give you peace of mind that you're on track with this years health goals.
Let's get into them...
TIP 1: REVIEW & PLAN YOUR WEEK AHEAD
Spend a few minutes having a think about what habits you want to continue with this week (i.e. water, exercise, self care etc...) and what you have coming up this week (i.e. working late, appointments, sport commitments, monthly cycle due etc...)
By doing this each week you're able to plan your week accordingly and put things in place to keep yourself on track.
TIP 2: PLAN OUT YOUR WEEKLY MEALS
Knowing what you're going to have for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks makes your week soooo much easier! Plus when you also do a food shop you have everything to hand and ready to make/cook for the week.
TIP 3: PREP A FEW ITEMS
Having a few things prepped makes life much easier - especially things that are freezer friendly. My favourite things to prep are soups, curries, stews, rissoles, quiches, protein balls, muesli bars etc...
Being able to pull something from the freezer to defrost and/or reheat makes life easy on those days when you simply don't have the time.
Give these 3 things a go this weekend, you'll be surprised at how much of a difference this can make to your week ahead.
