The Damaging Effects of the Diet Culture & Weighing Yourself

Today I wanted to share with you the damaging effects of the Diet Culture and weighing yourself.

As a Nutritionist, I see so many individuals having dieted on and off all of their lives and having achieved little results. 

It affects their self image, confidence and caused emotional eating not to mention the feeling of restriction and deprivation when on a diet!​

Dieting gives us the illusion that there is a quick fix to losing weight, however once off the diet you tend to put all the weight back on... which defeats the purpose of going on a diet in the first place and causes you to feel as if you've failed.

In this video I share with you why I’m against the Diet Culture, the damaging effects when it comes to jumping on the scales and share with you an alternative way to check your weight without hurting your self esteem. Check out the video below:
