Stay on Track With This Simple Monday Ritual

Today I thought I'd share with you a ritual I do every Monday that helps me stay on track with my health focuses/goals for the week ahead.

Because it's easy to get distracted, side tracked or sometimes life just happens and we get knocked off course entirely.

Having a weekly ritual where you review your progress and create achievable actions for the week ahead can help you stay on track for the long term.

To help you get started, I've created a downloadable handout (also editable) or you can simply grab a notepad and pen! To download the handout simply click on the image below.

This ritual takes no more than 15 minutes a week.

Lets get into it...

Firstly there are 3 key questions to consider:

  1. What went well last week

  2. What didn't go so well last week

  3. What could I change or do differently this week

These questions help with celebrating wins, seeing wins we didn't realise were there, acknowledging what didn't go so we and looking at what needs to change or be done differently for the following week.

...Because doing the same things over and over again will get you the same results.

Next we create our weekly action plan by writing down a list of things you want to action this week.

Actions that are achievable for you and will help you get closer to goal and/or stay on track with your key focuses.

It could be that you intend to drink at least 2L of water every day this week, exercise each day, have a green snack every second day and/or eat lunch away from the computer screen each day etc...

Lastly, keep the action plan close to hand and check off your progress as you go. I like to make a mark next to my actions each day to give myself a quick win which helps me stay motivated.

Give this weekly ritual a go this week, you'll be surprised at how much of a difference it can make to keeping yourself on track.

As always, if you'd like some help and support with losing weight in a way that's sustainable (without dieting), increasing energy levels, improving relationship with food or managing a disease or condition I'm here to help.
