Setting your fridge and pantry up success

This post is about setting your fridge and pantry up success.

There are certain fridge and pantry items that you’ll need when making nourishing meals and will use on a regular basis.

Below is a list of my top fridge and pantry items to help you get started or add what you already have:

Your pantry

  • Cold pressed olive oil

  • Sea salt

  • Cracked pepper

  • Herbamare (vegetable seasoning)

  • Tamari (similar to soy sauce & gluten free)

  • Variety of spices

  • Canned beans (cannelloni, chick peas & kidney beans)

  • Whole grains (cous cos, quinoa, amaranth & buckwheat)

  • Rices (Basmati Rice, Brown Rice)

  • Rice Noodles or Udon Noodles

  • Organic corn chips (gluten free)

Your fridge

  • Nuttelex (vs. butter)

  • Nut milks: almond, rice & oats (vs.cows milk)

  • Natural Yoghurt or Coconut Yoghurt

  • Onion, garlic, chilli & ginger

  • Nuts & Seeds (stops them going rancid)

  • Lemons & limes

  • Sprouts

  • Fresh herbs

  • Variety of vegetables

  • Variety of fruits

Write down the items you don’t already have in your fridge and pantry and start adding one or two new items per week when you do your weekly food shop.
