How to stop feeling guilty or bad when it comes to food

Do you find yourself feeling bad or guilty when you eat something not so healthy, or don't exercise after a big day at work or perhaps start a new habit then find it hard to stick to...

If so, please know you're not alone in this!

I see so many women torture themselves with feeling guilty or bad (as if they've done something terribly wrong) when they aren't doing what they think they "should" be doing.

I find this comes from the diet culture and doing what we think we should do vs want to do.

Dieting can cause us to believe we have to be perfect in following a restrictive regiment that is nearly impossible to stick to and is unsustainable long term, as most put the weight back on and then some.

...and if we falter in any way we see ourselves as having failed which can then have us believe we're lazy or just not motivated enough. This can also affect our self esteem and confidence over time.

Not only that we often do what we think we should do (i.e. expectations from society, our community, family and even our friends) vs what we want to do.

If you're nodding to any of these things keep reading...

When you're able to move away from the outdated diet culture and towards a more sustainable way of doing health (that's tailored to your lifestyle vs a cookie cutter approach)

and focus more on what you want to do vs should do, you're able to then make real and lasting change!

Plus you feel happier, create a more positive relationship with food are able to lose weight and keep it off in a sustainable way without feeling restricted.

You also don't feel guilty or bad anymore because you're creating a healthy lifestyle that is tailored to your needs, habits and wants and is sustainable long term... therefore flexible!

So, if you want to have a treat you can or if you want to not exercise on a particular day due to needing a rest day - that's ok too.
