Today I wanted to share with you 7 core healthy habits that I recommend to most of my clients.
These core habits are SUPER important when you're wanting to improve your eating habits, lose weight and have more energy throughout the day.
These healthy habits lay the foundations for being able to lose weight and keep it off in a way that is sustainable long term.
They are habits that you can put in place one at a time or a handful at a time until you have all 7 in place.
So what are they you ask? The top 7 core healthy habits are:
Eating 2 Fruit and 5 Serves of Vegetables each day
Drink 2-3L of Water each day
Exercise for 30 minutes each day
Reduce stress throughout the day
Aim to get 7 - 9 hours of quality sleep each night
Keep Treats as Treats
Plan our your Meals each week
If you are already doing most of these habits, great work! If you're only doing a few then get started today but putting at last one of these habits in place and building up to all seven.
It may take a month or 6 months, regardless of how long it takes - eventually they'll become a habit and something that doesn't require much effort as you're used to do it.
You could also build up to each habit! As an example if you're not having 5 serves of veggies a day you could increase your intake by 1 extra serve per day for say a week then increase that to 2 extra serves then 3 and so on.
Once you begin putting these habits in place you'll be surprised at how a few simple changes can make a big difference to your weight, energy levels and overall health.
