Avoid Being Fooled By Food Labels

Do you find understanding and reading food labels utterly confusing? I don't blame you... they are confusing!

Especially when the label include some of the following:

Colours, additives and preservatives; Low sugar, low fat, low carb and high protein;Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, diabetes friendly, paleo etc...;Organic and natural;Protein, carbohydrate, sugar and fat content;Healthy star rating; and  actual ingredients.

Don't panic!

In the below video I break this all down for you in any easy to understand format so you can better understand how labelling works and be empowered to make informed buying decisions.

Check out the video below:

I hope that video was helpful in helping you better understand how to read food labels. They may come across as utterly confusing but when you look at the bigger picture of what's actually in the product itself it does make it much easier to work out whether or not it's a healthy choice.

Take Action Now

So have a think about 3 things you can start looking out for when you do your next food shop. It could be looking at the number of ingredients, whether it contains whole foods or if it's a product you could make yourself vs buying a plastic version (aka packet cake).

What ever the 3 things are that are specific to you put them in place this week... small steps really do have a big compounding effect over the long term.
